Band 5

  1. Where/When was your bands first show? How did that go?
Free Throw: It was at The Boro in Murfreesboro, TN in 2012. Larry had just turned 21 and had drank 3 pitchers by himself, the rest of us were also drinking heavily, you can imagine how that went.
  2. Did you guys play any covers? If so, of what?
Free Throw: No covers were played. All original drunken mess.
  3. What was the first song you guys wrote as a band? Is it on any of your releases?
Free Throw: The first we wrote is called My Low. And it is indeed on our first self titled EP.
  4. Did your band ever have a different name?
Free Throw: When we first started the band, it was called Langoliers. Turns out another band from around town was called “The Langoliers” and they started asking promoters of our shows if they were supposed to play, so we decided to change the name in a Jack-n-the-Box and our bass player Justin came up with Free Throw and it stuck. Man, you gotta love those 2 for a dollar JITB tacos.
  5. When did you decide that making music was something you really wanted to pursue?
Free Throw: Well, we all have played in bands for a very long time. Music has always been a part of all of our lives. Free Throw was originally started to be somewhat of an escape from the usual stress of being in a band and to have fun playing music that we liked. When the internet response came around, we realized we had a chance to do something cool, so we just went with it.
